Women and Minority Rights
John is a strong supporter of women’s rights. John grew up in a family of five children with four younger sisters. John has two daughters and wants them to grow up in a society that values their work and pays them on the basis of their contribution, not their gender. Women must have control over their own bodies, including the right to make their own life choices and obtain reproductive health care, including birth control. Women must be free from the fear of physical and sexual violence.
John’s wife, Amy, is a first generation immigrant from China. He wants minorities to have the same opportunities afforded to all Americans without fear of discrimination. As delegate, John will work tirelessly for race equality.
